Sometimes, it seems so desperate. You want to get rid of your adult acne, and yet you don’t know what to do about it. It’s horrifying to some degree, because you were supposed to grow out of that stage of life once you hit 18, or at least many of us like to believe that common myth. However, there are many ways in which we try to treat adult acne and we actually make our skin age faster, damage it, and otherwise don’t really help ourselves making quite serious mistakes. For example, many try skipping out on the moisturizer. Whether you are trying to prevent aging or actually prevent acne from getting worse or coming back, your skin needs some moisture, and frankly a lot of acne treatments can be damaging, which really means you need a moisturizer. That brings me to my next point. You need to stay away from irritating ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide. These will actually cause greater damage to your skin now than they would have even when you are a teen, and they definitely accelerate your rate of aging. So you are far better off finding something else that will actually give you greater results as a whole and not damage your skin.
