I don’t believe in buying hyped ingredients, hyped products, or anything like that. I believe in scientific evidence. This being said, without question, rhodiola rosea is one of the most currently hyped ingredients I’ve ever seen, both in diet pills and wrinkle treatments alike. It is popular in Asian countries, and it is a good energy enhancing ingredient. But they promote it as a wrinkle fighter and metabolic booster. It promotes a certain clarity of mind yes. And it has some antioxidant benefits, but they are extremely low in comparison to many. So I would definitely consider using something like acai before I would use this for skin protection, and quite frankly that’s sad considering how much I don’t actually like acai. It has been known for its stimulant related side effects, and especially if you are trying to address your skin, you should not take it internally. However, I’m sure they can do studies in the future to find its other uses. I just have yet to see any scientific evidence to back it up. And frankly, I am pretty sure some have already tried. They just haven’t really found the right application yet. But of course, we tend to like anything exotic as the best idea ever.
